WHAT IS COAST REDWOOD SENIOR HIGH?  Coast Redwood Senior High is a 9th–12th grade home school charter program that offers an alternate method of study, which allows students to meet high school graduation requirements. We are a Personalized Learning program that offers students a wide variety of curricular choices, as well as classroom and non-classroom learning environments, which may be tailored and customized to the individual learning styles, needs, and preferences of each student.

OUR MISSION
SLVUSD Charter School provides personalization, community and choice through challenging and creative educational opportunities designed for a diversity of learners.

THE GOALS OF COAST REDWOOD SENIOR HIGH

DO COAST REDWOOD STUDENTS GET A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA?
Yes. To successfully graduate a student is required to complete 230 credits, Algebra I, as well as successfully pass the California High School Exit Exam.

HOW DOES IT WORK?  Students have regularly scheduled monthly meetings (a minimum of every 20 days) with a fully credentialed Education Specialist to develop individualized learning opportunities by: choosing home-based or community based instruction, select individualized curriculum based on learning style and functioning grade level, providing materials, resources and supportive instruction, promoting real-life context-based learning.  We know that every child is different, with unique interest, abilities and learning needs. We believe that you, the parent, know your child best. For this reason, you are the best suited to make choices about your child’s education.  Our Education Specialists are there to help you every step of the way. Our students reap the benefits of the team of parent, Education Specialist, and student.
